Why we give
We give to show that Jesus is more precious to us than money. The Scriptures teach us that as followers of Jesus, our treasure is in heaven.
Jesus said, “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Matthew 6:19-21).
At Christ Community, our treasure is Jesus and our mission is to make Jesus-followers and plant churches so that others will also treasure Jesus above all else.
Christ Community relies entirely on the giving of its members and the generous gifts of outside partners to continue reaching our city and the world with the good news of Jesus Christ.
